This Privacy Policy explains how the Summarise Visually app ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. We've kept it short and plain because the app is designed to collect as little as possible.
When you summarise something, you provide the content you want summarised — text you paste or type, a web link, or a video link. We use this only to produce your summary. It is not used to advertise to you and is not sold.
Summaries and visual explainers are created using third-party AI services. When you request one, the content you submit (and, for links, the page or video content the app retrieves) is transmitted to these providers to generate a result:
These providers process the content to return a result and handle data under their own privacy policies. We send only what's needed to fulfil your request.
Premium subscriptions are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Billing is tied to your Apple ID — we never receive or store your payment information. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements; it processes a non-identifying purchase identifier so the app knows whether you have an active subscription. Your past summaries, favourites, and preferences are stored locally on your device. You can delete any summary from within the app, or remove all of it by deleting the app. This on-device data is not transmitted to us.
If you choose to save a generated visual to your Photos, the app requests permission to add images to your photo library. It only adds images you ask it to save and does not read your existing photos.
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
